Description:
If you're utilizing entry level server hardware or a high-end workstation as a server, you probably don't have an integrated RAID controller that is performing disk mirroring operations or Redundant Array of Inexpensive Disk (RAID) technology. If this is the case you may rely on software built into Windows to do that for you. In this video Grant will show you how you can configure three hard disks into a software-based RAID5 disk in Windows.
Highlights from this video:
- What is a spanned volume, striped volume, mirrored volume, RAID-5 volume?
- Adding disks to a RAID-5 volume and formatting the volume
- Differences from Windows 2003
- About dynamic disks
and much more
