Description:
Since the days of Exchange 5.5, Microsoft has used Outlook as the primary mail client for talking to an Exchange server. But what if you have users who'd rather not use Outlook? What other e-mail collection protocols are available? Users can choose to use POP3 ( Post Office Protocol version 3) or IMAP4 (Internet Message Access Protocol version 4). These protocols aren't as dynamic and flexible as Outlook is when talking to an Exchange server, but can lead to some if not most of the Outlook functionalities.
