You'll learn how SQL Server chooses the values, how you can influence those values as well as tips and tricks for using IDENTITY columns and Best Practices. IDENTITY columns (and all surrogate keys) are often easy to use but not completely understand by new users. If you use IDENTITY columns in your databases then you'll appreicate this thorough treatment of how IDENTITY columns work in SQL Server.
